Happy Halloween: West Hollywood Carnaval
If you live in West Hollywood (or anywhere in Los Angeles, for matter), you've probably heard about a small gathering going on tonight: the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval. The city is shutting down the streets for the anticipated 250,000 people who will trick, treat, and strut their stuff from 6 PM until late into the night.
The Carnival technically runs 6 PM - 11 PM, but the partying will most likely continue until the wee hours of the morning. Stages are set up around town for live entertainment, and at 9 PM Chelsea Handler will be declared "Queen of the Carnaval" on the Bat Stage. Secret judges will wander the crowd qualifying outrageous and fabulous costumes for the costume contest at 10 PM - the grand prize is $1,000 so be prepared to compete!
