 ~ Celebrate Davis!, hosted by the Davis Chamber of Commerce, will be this Thursday, May 14th from 4:30 – 9 PM! Check out local businesses, grab some dinner and watch fireworks. See the flyer (pdf) for more details.

 ~ Also this Thursday, May 14th, 7-10 PM, Nameless Magazine is hosting e x p r e s s i o n r e d e f i n e d in the Memorial Union Griffin Lounge. 

 ~ The People’s Vanguard of Davis and The Davis Neighborhood Coalition are hosting a Town Hall Meeting to discuss Davis’ budget crisis on Wednesday May 20th, 7 – 9 PM.

 ~ Davis, Woodland, Dixon and West Sacramento firefighters and EMTs simulated a bus accident to prepare for possible future emergencies. (News10)

 ~ Forbes Magazine picked Davis as the 19th Best Place to Live in the US but Realtor Jamie Madison is dismayed it didn’t do better.

 ~ The Target in East Davis hopes to open in October (California Aggie)
