Black Friday Looming: Saving Money on Holiday Shopping
Guess what’s coming up soon? Eat a Cranberry Day! And as excited as we know you are, after that comes Black Friday, which officially marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
Today Mashable published an article on 10 sites for Black Friday coupons. Among Mashable’s picks:
~ Blackfday.com – Get deals from both retail stores and online shopping sites – find out whether it’s worth it to get up before dawn and fight the crowds to get the last discounted digital camera.
~ BlackFriday.GottaDeal.com – This one’s listed on OneGate for Shopping; it’s a great site for finding online deals every day, and they have a special Black Friday page.
~ DealTaker.com – You knew about Black Friday, but have you heard of Cyber Monday? The Monday after Black Friday there may be great deals online; find them at DealTaker.
~ TGIBlackFriday.com – According to Mashable, TGIBlackFriday partners with PriceGrabber (also on OneGate for Shopping) so you can comparison-shop while perusing sales.
But those sites aren’t the only places to check out when shopping for the holidays. We have some other tips for getting the best deals and saving some cash:
~ Follow people on Twitter – there are some Tweeple who have devoted their time to getting the word out on deals for online discount codes, special sales and coupons. Check out @dealninja and @dealtweets.
~ Check Woot! daily at midnight for a special item discounted severely. Get great deals on electronics, but act fast – once an item sells out, Woot’s done for the day.
~ You don’t have to subject yourself to crowded store conditions this holiday season. Check FreeShipping.org for – what else? – free shipping on online purchases.
~ And make sure to visit OneGate for Shopping; read the announcement for details.
